Here at Krause Intaglio - we print letterpress and printmaking, hand bookbinding, prepress -that is we make Film and Polymerplates, also color separation and stochastic.
We have the Facility to work and print from copper, but have seen a change from clients with a lesser degree in the ability of working with copper. Hence we take the drawing, scan it, separate the paper color out, invoke a stochastic pattern, that is the Line is reproduced without showing a dot pattern. Personally, I hate it when I look at a Print and can see the dot pattern.
So we push the envelope a bit here to avoid that and still produce an etching which has the same Feel as being pulled from a copper plate.
